THURSDAY 18 MAY 2017                  

 Exbury Gardens and Steam Train Ride

Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:          11 am          Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:             4.30 pm

Come along with us to Exbury Gardens, near Beaulieu in the New Forest, to enjoy the stunning spring displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias.  The gardens, created by Lionel de Rothschild in the 1920’s, can be explored on foot and also enjoyed during a 20 minute ride on the Steam Train.  Most of the gardens are accessible with the majority of pathways on level ground.  However, if required, wheelchairs are available for hire at £4.50 on a first come, first served basis. Bring your own picnic if you wish or refreshments can be purchased on-site from the Five Arrows Gallery.

Cost:      £21 includes entrance and steam train ride


WEDNESDAY 24 MAY 2017                     

The Opera Boys, Fernham Hall, Fareham

Make your own way to Fernham Hall to meet in Reception at 7 pm.  Show starts at 7.30 pm.     

Leading men from London’s West End combine to deliver a stunning blend of music ranging from Opera to Pop, and everything in between.  This unique show combines beautiful, powerful and emotional music with funny, engaging and light-hearted entertainment.

Cost:      £18.50                   Unfortunately, there is no reduction for group booking for this show. 

However, one Carer will be admitted at £9.25 with a full paying adult.


MONDAY 12 JUNE 2017         

 Chichester Canal Trip

 Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:   11 am                              Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:       4 pm

Enjoy the unique views of Chichester Cathedral and the beautiful Sussex South Downs on the 75minute canal boat trip.   Whilst cruising past the wild flowers and reed beds, keep a watchful eye for herons, kingfishers and water voles in their natural habitat.  Afterwards you can relax and enjoy refreshments in the Chichester Canal Centre, located in the Canal Basin, where there is ample seating indoors and outdoors with good views of the activities taking place in the Basin.

TUESDAY 11 JULY 2017            


Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:   10.30 am                       Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:            4.30 pm

Birdworld is home to a stunning collection of colourful and exotic birds from all around the world.  Landscaped aviaries and enclosures are set in 26 acres of beautiful gardens and parkland.  Entry to Underworld World (the tropical aquarium), the Jenny Wren Farm and the Forest Lodge Garden Centre are included in the entrance price.  Plenty to see and do including feeding the birds, watching the penguins display, the Owl Prowl, the Outdoor Flying Display and other shows that take place throughout the day.

WEDNESDAY 23 AUGUST 2017        

 Beaulieu River Cruise

Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:           10.30 am               Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:                    5.30 pm

Cruise the Solent to the picturesque Beaulieu River. View Bucklers Hard from the water and enjoy the views of the north shore of the Isle of Wight, finishing with a grand tour of Portsmouth Harbour.

Cost       £22.50



Watercress Line

Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:           10.30 am                Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:                         5  pm

Experience the Golden Age of Steam Travel!  Sit, back and relax whilst travelling through the heart of the English countryside from Alton to Alresford; the perfect way to unwind and experience the nostalgic sights, sounds and smells of steam travel from a bygone age.  In Alresford, a charming Georgian town, you can wander round the independent shops, take a stroll along the picturesque river walk with Fulling Mill or enjoy lunch in the West Country Buffet on the platform or elsewhere if you wish before the return train journey to Alton then home.

Cost:                      £9 for minibus only.  Train tickets £16 return.  1 Carer at £5.95 with each disabled visitor



Lunch in Lymington

Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:           11 am                       Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:                    4 pm

Enjoy the spectacular array of autumn colours whist being driven through the New Forest to Lymington.   This major yachting centre was named in a Channel 5 programme as the best town on the coast in the UK for living, scenery, transport and low crime levels ahead of Sandbanks!!!   Enjoy a leisurely lunch in a lovely old English pub before returning home.

Haskins Garden Centre, Southampton and Pub Lunch

Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:           11 am                       Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:                    3 pm

With Christmas fast approaching why not browse round the Garden Centre to find that unusual, special present for the family member or friend who is so difficult to buy for!  The Centre not only sells  garden plants and equipment but also clothing, handbags, lovely  home and lifestyle gifts as well as outdoor and indoor furniture,  home-ware and a selection of locally produced foods, craft beers and ciders.  Enjoy the lovely decorated Christmas trees and ornaments on display before moving on for a bite to eat in a lovely snug, warm pub on the way home.

MONDAY 11 DECEMBER 2017     

Christmas Spectacular

Depart from the Community Centre, Stubbington:     10.30am                      Return to the Community Centre, Stubbington:            6.30 pm

Following last year’s successful visit to the Christmas Spectacular we are offering places again to this seasonal show performed by the cast of Lyric and Laughter Productions.  If you want to get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy some sparkling, seasonal songs and festive fun then this show is for you.  Hopefully, the weather will be as kind as it was last year so you can enjoy a lovely ride through the New Forest to and from Bashley.  A traditional roast turkey lunch followed by dessert will be served before the show with a cream tea during the interval.
